There are all sorts of ways that you can help people affected by dementia in Northland. Volunteering for Alzheimers Northland is great for us but it can also be good for you too. People volunteer for lots of different reasons whether it is to meet new people, socialise or help people through the hardest of times, whatever your reason we would love you to lend us your skills.

Current Vacancies:

Volunteer Drivers – Trading Project

Where: Whangarei and surrounds

Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week.

We are looking for looking for someone to assist with the collection of donated goods. The volunteers will need to have their own vehicle with a tow bar. The volunteer will have the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping to run the vital services that Alzheimers Northland offers by being a vital member of the team generating income.

Collection Day Volunteers

Where: Various sites across Northland

When: May 2020

Our annual Collection Day takes place as part World Alzheimers Month. The funds raised form a vital part of our income to help us to provide our services. Every cent collected stays right here in Northland helping us to give care and support to families affected by dementia.

We can’t run our collection day without the wonderful help of volunteers. If you are able to give a few hours to help on please do get in touch
